PlanIt for Photographers is a location scouting and shot planning tool: it shows you where the sun, moon, and Milky Way will be, overlays them on maps and 3D terrain, and helps you pre-visualize compositions. That's valuable work. But once the shot is planned, you still need to know which upcoming date will have the conditions to make it worth executing — and that's a weather and conditions forecasting problem that LightCast is built around.
